FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ENVIVE Partners with New Mexico Department of Health and Office of the Medical Investigator to Establish Overdose Fatality Review Process
Albuquerque, New Mexico – July 9, 2026
ENVIVE Solutions, Inc., a strategic consultant that improves how behavioral health systems operate, has received funding from the New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) to establish, implement, and manage a statewide Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) process. The OFR process will analyze data on drug overdose deaths in New Mexico and develop strategies for overdose death prevention.
In partnership with the DOH and the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI), ENVIVE will guide the development and operation of this initiative from July 2025 through February 2028.
The OFR project will unfold in three phases. Phase one will develop infrastructure and engage stakeholders. Phase two will implement a monthly case review process and recommend interventions and systemic changes to prevent overdose deaths. In phase three, ENVIVE will transfer OFR project leadership to the Department of Health for continued operation and long-term sustainability.
“Drug overdoses are a leading cause of death in New Mexico,” said Lisa K. Jackson, Founder and CEO of ENVIVE. “By establishing a multidisciplinary team, the OFR project will identify missed intervention opportunities, strengthen collaboration among state agencies, and create policy recommendations to address systemic gaps in overdose prevention and response. We are pleased to be a key part of this effort to reduce overdose fatalities across New Mexico.”
