Overdose Fatality Review Implementation: Driving Change in Public Health
At ENVIVE Solutions, we help communities build and implement Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) programs that transform how they prevent and respond to overdose deaths.
Our approach emphasizes collaborative, data-driven strategies, systemic improvements, and sustainable solutions to reduce fatalities and improve public health outcomes.

We partner with state and local public health agencies, behavioral health organizations, and law enforcement to identify root causes of overdose deaths, evaluate intervention strategies, and develop community-driven solutions that save lives.

Why Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) Matters
Overdose deaths are a leading cause of mortality in the U.S., and communities often struggle to manage this crisis effectively. OFR programs provide critical insights into overdose dynamics, helping to:
-
Identify gaps in local health, behavioral health, and law enforcement systems
-
Develop evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies
-
Optimize resource allocation for greater impact
-
Foster collaboration across healthcare, public safety, and community services

What is Overdose Fatality Review (OFR)?
Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) is a nationally recognize model that draws on collaborative, community-focused processes designed to understand the causes of overdose deaths and uncover systemic gaps contributing to these tragedies. Through data collection, cross-sector collaboration, and root cause analysis, OFR enables communities to implement targeted prevention strategies, reduce overdose fatalities, and improve overall community health outcomes.
